Louis XVI (G-P15) and Yuya share a common paternal line ancestor who lived around 16 000 BCE (18 000 years ago). Yuya was a powerful man in the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt. He served as a key adviser for Amenhotep III and carried many titles such as "King’s Lieutenant" and "Master of the Horse."
He married the Egyptian noblewoman Thuya and was the great-grandfather of Tutankhamun through their daughter Tiye, who was the Great Royal Wife of Amenhotep III, the ninth pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty. In his native town of Akhmin, Yuya was a prophet of Min, the chief god of the area, and served as this deity's "Superintendent of Cattle". Because of the many different spelling variants of his name and his physical features, some Egyptologists have speculated that he had foreign origins. Yuya and his wife were buried in the Valley of the Kings at Thebes.
